Raising Money with Music - Dumhi

DUMHI actively support The BBC Children in Need mission to positively change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK. We share the same vision of a society where each and every child and young person is supported to reach their potential.

The Song

The principle objective behind this emotive song ‘All Children Need’ is to increase awareness of the issues faced by disadvantaged children and young people. We wanted to both produce a good and enjoyable song and create something that could make a difference by raising funds.

Children in Need

The BBC Children in Need Appeal is a charitable organisation that raises funds from the
public to help improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people living in the UK. They do this by making grants to voluntary projects, community groups and registered charities. Through these organisations, practical and lasting support is provided to thousands of children and young people in need every year.

DUMHI

We are newly formed band, song-writing and production team who were thrown together by a series of musical mishaps and coincidences. The four of us bring together a vast range of musical expertise and experiences as band, session and studio musicians. Alongside this, we also have many years of individual experience in working with children and young people in schools, residential homes and secure units across Nottingham and beyond, including London.

We have come together to embark on this project purely because we feel that by raising awareness and funds in this way still more can be done to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged children and young people in the UK, and to give them a better chance.
